How to scan drivers from a specific directory and create driver tags in BCM OS Deployment? |
The directory which needs to be scanned for drivers should be present on the OSD manager. The steps in this article are created assuming that the OSD manager is configured and initialized. Client Management - Setting up and Initializing the OSD Manager Below are the steps to scan a directory and create a driver tag. 1. Go to OS Deployment node >> Expand OSD Manager >> Drivers 2. Right click on Drivers and click 'Scan Directory' 3. Click Select and browse to the directory which is present on OSD manager containing the drivers and click OK. BCM OSD Manager will scan and analyze the directory. The scan process will take some time depending on the number of drivers available in the directory selected. 4. After the analysis is completed, enter the 'Tag' name which can be uniquely identified later on. Add additional description (not mandatory) which will be for future reference. Click OK. The drivers are successfully added to BCM's OSD Manager. They're now available under Drivers node with a unique tag name and ready to use for the OS deployment project. |
