Client Management - How to create Security Package and Rules if not created after upgrade
This Guide will help administrator to create the Certificate Package if the upgrade process didn't create any rule.

The BCM master has been upgraded but security Rules and Package were not created. How to recreate them ? The BCM Certificate rule for deploying the new certificate are missing after upgrade. How to activate it? |
The BCM Certificate Operational Rule are those rules through which administrator can easily replace or apply the certificates or any new security parameters as mentioned in this article: Client Management How to use a different authority and certificate on some agents If these rules are missing, then using the below method can regenerate them. On the Master Server: - Edit the file Called Vision64Database.ini from the <Windows BCM path Drive>Program Files\BMC Software\Client Management\Master\Config or opt or usr\local\bmc-software\client-management\master\etc\Vision64Database.ini - scroll to the 'Packages' section - Add "CheckCertAuthPackage=true" just below, without quotes. - Restart BCM service and once done, the package and rules will be created this entry is going to be deleted when the "BCM Certificate" rules and packages is created by this parameter.
