The following information provides guidance related to the issue indicated in the title. These instructions require the passphrase value used during the installation of FootPrints 12 to be able to successfully restore your Footprints 12 backup. Please contact FootPrints Technical Support if this value is not known. Additionally, these steps must be performed with full Administrator privileges.

FootPrints 12 consists of two parts:
NOTE: If you are using a VM solution to host your instance, you can use a 'snapshot' of BOTH the application server and db server, just be certain they are able to be restored to the state prior to this event, to ensure you can recover from anything that may occur. Else the following is the process we advise will work when followed.
Stop the FootPrints 12 Tomcat server - This should be listed as Apache Tomcat 7.0 Tomcat7 (under Start -> Administrative Tools -> Services).
